Doggy Tails
My youngest dog, Moose, is a tail chaser. I know, that’s perfectly normal. But, he is a tail chaser in hiding. He does not like being seen chasing his tail. He will go to a room that nobody can see him to chase his tail. Moose is not quiet about it. All of us will hear him do it and look at each other smiling trying not to give away that we know what is happening. Occasionally, we’ll go try to spy on him because he is so funny with it.
But, as soon as he notices someone watching, he’ll stop. It is the funniest thing in the world. He truly leaves the room that he’s in because he wants to go chase his tail with nobody watching. It hasn’t always been like that with him. Before, it didn’t matter who was watching. He’s a tail chaser; a big 70lb tail chaser. And there is nothing wrong with that.
It was always funny watching him though. He has a very curly tail. There is no straightening of it. He will run in circles, flop down, try to reach it from both a seated and laying down position. High in entertainment value. But, he is a sensitive soul. I fear he knew we were laughing and decided he would have to hide it from us. Poor guy.
