I’m going to make it to Ireland one day. It is this mystical place in my mind full of castles and lots of green rolling hills and the smells of Irish Stews and Whiskeys and Beers filling the air. I’m going to make it there and I’m going to drive and walk and ride through the whole country and see every nook and cranny. It’s going to magical and mystical and beautiful and wonderful.
The castles are on the top of my list. I’m going to imagine the dragons that used to guard them. J Just kidding, but that’s what I imagine castles being in Ireland – like the ones in movies, something just magical about them.
I’m going to walk through the rolling green hills and explore all that is beautiful and wonderful. Again, my imagination has the best of me when I think of Ireland but I have a feeling it won’t disappoint. I heard National Geographic say the walks in Ireland are among the best in the world. I’ll take it! I love a good walk.
It would be amazing to go around St. Patrick’s Day when the country is alive and festive to be able to see what Ireland really is when people are celebrating. I can only imagine St. Patrick’s Day being equivalent to Christmas here.
I will, even my picky eating self, try all the local favorites. From Dublin to the little known areas, I want to see it all and eat it all and feel it all and take it all in.
Ireland is number one on my places of international travel list. I knew someone who went there a long time ago and when I looked at her pictures, I knew I had to go. Now, some family goes there. I’m going to have to tag along on one of their journeys out there. It’ll be the most wonderful thing!
