Well, I took the family to see Tomorrowland last night. It was a nice family day all around, actually. We went and got some lunch together, picked up some patriotic clothing for the weekend, went to a store that has some pretty cool things that you don’t see everywhere else, had some Starbucks for dessert and then headed to the movie.
I enjoyed the movie quite a bit, really. I expected it to take place more in the future, in Tomorrowland, but it did not, it explained the concept of it from the real world. I thought that was a very interesting way to go about it. The basic moral of the story that society is destroying itself because it does not allow the creators and artists and scientists and dreamers to just dream their dreams to make the world a better place was engrained throughout the movie.
It did feel a little like there was a lot of buildup for it all to just come together quickly at the end. The move did not feel too long, and it did not feel like there was too much build up, it was just over quickly once it hit it’s peak. Overall, it was an enjoyable movie and I would definitely recommend going to see it as a family. Maybe it will spark some dreams in our children to start now to make the world a better place.
