6/22/1944 – Franklin Roosevelt signs the G.I. Bill to compensate returning servicemen for their efforts in World War II – the G.I. Bill was meant to give returning servicemen access to unemployment compensation, low interest home and business loans and funding for education. Bill is a great thing and I’ve loved having the opportunities it has given us.
